The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

 

At Banstead Windows we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal data to enable us to carry out your instructions, and provide the service you have requested from us.

 

Personal data includes title, name, address, phone numbers and email addresses. Personal data you supply to us may be used in a number of ways. For example to deal with your enquires and requests, to carry out your project/contract, to manage and carry out our business and to comply with any statutory or regulatory duties imposed on us by law.

 

We are committed to dealing with your personal data fairly and lawfully. We will generally keep your personal data for a minimum of ten years. After which time it will be destroyed if we consider there is no legitimate reason for retaining the information.  Banstead Windows will not disclose any of your personal data including personal sensitive data with any third parties, without your permission unless we believe we are under a legal obligation to do so. For example to comply with any duty imposed to us by our regulator or any other legal authority. 

 

By agreeing to out contract/quotation or agreement of services you are also consenting to your personal data being shared with third parties, to include our suppliers and other companies and people providing services for us for the purpose of fulfilling our contract/quotation or agreement, and implementation of services and carrying out any installation, and providng essential documentation including any guarantees which do not exceed 10 years.

 

By agreeing to our contract/quotation you are also consenting to your personal data being shared with third parties, for the purpose of fufilling the requirements of the competent person scheme for self certification under the building regulations, including FENSA and your insurance backed guarantee (IBG) provider. Personal data includes; title, name, address, phone numbers, and email addresses. This data will be used to provide essential documentation, and will be retained on files for the life time of the guarantees which do not exeed 10 years.

 

As a result of the increased risk of cyber fraud, we will not request bank details by email. Should you receive an email claiming to be from us requesting bank details please contact us immediately by telephone for clarification. Please note we will not accept responsibility for any loss or adverse consequence arising, if you transfer money into an incorrect bank account or as a result of the fraudulent activity of a third party.

 

Many businesses and individuals now prefer communication via email, but we mention emails are not guaranteed to be secure and even though correctly addressed are not guaranteed to reach the addressee/s mail box.
